Gassed for supersonic and subsonic
8.6 Blackout is loaded both supersonic and subsonic, and a fixed gas port suits only one of them. The Superlative Arms bleed-off block lets the rifle be set to run both, venting excess gas at the block rather than driving it into the action, which also helps it run cleaner suppressed.
The buffer takes energy out
The KynSHOT RB5005 is a hydraulic damper: on the rearward stroke it converts some of the carrier’s energy to heat rather than storing it, and its most useful effect is reduced bolt bounce. It fits the Reptilia SR-25/A5-length receiver extension.
Short-barreled rifle: check your state
Since ATF’s open letter of 9 October 2026, federal NFA registration is not enforced for short-barreled rifles. State and local law still apply, and ATF Form 20 is still required before taking an SBR across state lines. Confirm with your local FFL before ordering.
* A note on the name
SOTM5 names the rifle; the serialized part is the lower receiver. MOD-0 names the thermal-fitted billet upper, here without a forward assist. RECCE is Second of Ten’s word for the short, light configuration; RECC·E™ is Reptilia’s mark for the stock. The serial number on the left side has been blurred in this photograph; no other marking has been altered.
