The gas system is adjustable at the block

A RIFLESPEED gas control lets the rifle be tuned to the load and to a suppressor, rather than being fixed by port size at manufacture. On a large-frame 6.5 Creedmoor, where ammunition varies widely, that is the difference between a rifle that runs one load well and one that can be set for the load in hand. The gas block is pinned to the barrel with a stainless steel coil spring pin, in line with the Bombproof by Design™ philosophy: a pinned block cannot shift on the barrel the way one held by clamping or set screws alone can.

Two marks you can check yourself

The cam pin carries the SOT arrow mark and the gas key carries an index mark across its screws. Both are there so that orientation and any movement of the gas key screws can be seen at a glance during routine inspection, without tools.

The trigger follows the configuration

This 16″ rifle carries the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S two-stage curved-bow trigger. Second of Ten fits it as made and does not stone, polish or alter sear engagement surfaces.

* A note on the name

SOTM5 names the rifle; the serialized part is the lower receiver. This 16″ rifle is the collapsible-stock configuration, built with the B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD on a VLTOR RE-10/A5SR 6-position A5 extension. The serial number on the left side has been blurred in this photograph; no other marking has been altered.
