8.6 Blackout is loaded both supersonic and subsonic, and a fixed gas port suits only one of them. The RIFLESPEED gas control, with its numbered knob, lets the rifle be set for each load and for a suppressor, and the block is pinned to the barrel with a steel coil spring pin so it cannot move off the port.
The KynSHOT RB5005 is a hydraulic damper: on the rearward stroke it converts some of the carrier’s energy to heat rather than storing it, and its most useful effect is reduced bolt bounce. It fits the Reptilia SR-25/A5-length receiver extension.
SOTM5 names the rifle; the serialized part is the lower receiver. MOD-0 names the thermal-fitted billet upper, here without a forward assist. RECCE is Second of Ten’s word for the light reconnaissance configuration; RECC·E™ is Reptilia’s mark for the stock. The serial number on the left side has been blurred in this photograph; no other marking has been altered.
