The gas system is adjustable at the block
A RIFLESPEED gas control lets the rifle be tuned to the load and to a suppressor, rather than being fixed by port size at manufacture. On a large-frame .308, where ammunition varies widely, that is the difference between a rifle that runs one load well and one that can be set for the load in hand. The gas block is pinned to the barrel with a steel coil spring pin, in line with the Bombproof by Design™ philosophy.
The selector is configured at 90°
The Radian Weapons Talon® 45/90 can run as a standard 90° selector or a 45° short throw by rotating the shaft 180° inside the lower receiver. It is installed at 90° and can be reconfigured by the end user.
Buffer and spring in one unit
The Armaspec Stealth™ Recoil Spring (SRS™) for the AR-10 replaces the buffer and spring in the carbine-length receiver extension. It keeps the spring off the tube wall for quieter cycling, and its second stage is designed to reduce felt recoil. Armaspec lists it at 7.09 oz actual, 5.7 oz equivalent buffer weight.
* A note on the name
SOTM5 names the rifle; the serialized part is the lower receiver. MOD-0 names the thermal-fitted billet upper, here the MOD-0FA with a forward assist. PRS Lite identifies the stock configuration, built with the Magpul PRS® Lite. The magazine shown is engraved; the rifle ships with a plain, unmarked magazine. The serial number on the left side has been blurred in this photograph; no other marking has been altered.
