Dedicated to the legend and spirit of the Forty-Seven Rōnin.
The hawk feather is what flies the arrow true. Fletching is the part of the shot nobody watches and without which nothing lands where it was aimed — the discipline that makes force accurate rather than merely strong.
The Maruni Chigai Takanoha is the crest of the Asō and Asano houses, and through Asano it belongs to the story of the Forty-Seven Rōnin: retainers who waited nearly two years, in disgrace and under watch, to answer for their lord — then answered, and accepted the sentence. Patience in the service of an aim that never moved.
It is the virtue this series argues a rifle should have: not force, but force placed.
