A working rifle designed to be a piece of functional high-end art. Eleven firearms across four editions, each built to order in the SOT Custom Shop and finished by hand — the maki gold and silver foil crests are laid by hand, the menpō masks painted and blended by hand over Cerakote® — so no two are identical and each is a one of a kind collectible. None of that is at the expense of the rifle: every one is photographed on both sides and published as an inspection page you can zoom to 8×, where rollmarks, staking and machining read off the photograph rather than off a spec table. The serial is masked; nothing else is retouched.
One warrior spirit, set in steel. Three editions — Maruni, Takanoha and Tokugawa — each honor a family crest, a kamon, and the warrior virtue it carries. The fourth is the flagship: the Yasuke — Black Samurai Edition, a tribute to the African retainer who earned the rank of samurai under Oda Nobunaga, built on the CAR816 short-stroke piston platform with the Oda mon and his name worked into the rifle. The heritage is what changes across the series — and, in the flagship, the platform beneath it. What every edition shares is the standard.
