The SOTM5 is Second of Ten’s large-frame platform. This 18″ .308 Winchester PRS rifle in FDE Cerakote® is built on billet SOTM5 receivers, with the barrel, gas system, bolt, recoil parts and controls each chosen for the cartridge and named below.
Barrel
- 18″ Faxon Duty Series Gunner profile, .308 Winchester (runs 7.62×51 NATO)
- 4150 CMV steel, salt-bath QPQ nitride, bore and exterior
- 1:10 twist, 4-groove button rifling
- Chamber CMM-checked; headspace 100% checked with a go/no-go gauge (Faxon)
- DPMS Gen 1 pattern .308 barrel extension, black oxide, torqued to 150 ft-lb and pinned (Faxon)
- Threaded 5/8×24; a Faxon Gunner 7.62 MuzzLok® 3-port brake is installed and can be removed, leaving the barrel direct-thread suppressor ready.

Gas System
