18″ SOTM5 6.5 Creedmoor PRS Lite Rifle — Faxon Match

Description

The SOTM5 is Second of Ten’s large-frame platform. This 18″ 6.5 Creedmoor PRS Lite rifle is built on billet SOTM5 receivers, with the barrel, gas system, bolt, recoil parts and controls each chosen for the cartridge and named below.

Barrel

• 18″ Faxon Match Series Gunner profile, 6.5 Creedmoor
• 416-R stainless steel, salt-bath QPQ nitride, bore and exterior
• 1:8 twist, 5R button rifling
• Chamber CMM-checked; headspace 100% checked with a go/no-go gauge (Faxon)
• DPMS LR-308 pattern barrel extension, NP3 coated, torqued to 150 ft-lb and pinned (Faxon)
• Threaded 5/8×24; a Faxon Gunner 7.62 MuzzLok® 3-port brake is installed and can be removed, leaving the barrel direct-thread suppressor ready.
• Barrel weight 2.55 lb (Faxon)

Gas System

• Rifle-length RIFLESPEED adjustable gas — set for the load and for a suppressor
• Gas block pinned to the barrel with a steel coil spring pin, in line with Bombproof by Design™
• .080″ gas port; .750″ gas block journal

Upper Receiver

• SOTM5 MOD-0 billet upper, no forward assist, thermal fitted to the barrel
• 7075-T6 aluminum, LR-308 DPMS high pattern
• Threaded forward assist pin; laser-engraved T-marks; dry film lubed
• Ejection port cover engraved 6.5 CREEDMOOR
• Breek Arms Warhammer Mod 2 AR-10 charging handle, black
