The SOTM5 is Second of Ten’s large-frame platform. This 18″ 6.5 Creedmoor rifle is built on billet SOTM5 receivers, with the barrel, gas system, bolt, recoil parts and controls each chosen for the cartridge and named below.
Barrel
- 18″ Criterion Hybrid contour, 6.5 Creedmoor
- 416R stainless steel, nitride finished
- 1:8 twist, 6-groove rifling, hand-lapped
- Finely polished chamber; JP Enterprises barrel extension

Gas System
- Rifle-length RIFLESPEED adjustable gas — set for the load and for a suppressor
- Gas block pinned to the barrel with a stainless steel coil spring pin, in line with Bombproof by Design™
- 0.750″ dimpled gas block journal; port tuned by Criterion to run with and without a suppressor
Upper Receiver
- SOTM5 MOD-0 billet upper, thermal fitted to the barrel
- 7075-T6 aluminum, LR-308 DPMS high pattern
- Laser-engraved T-marks; Type III hard coat anodized
